Just another story

just a warning. this is a post dedicated to thank and to praise God. so it might sound as though i am trying to preach to you guys. so non believers, if you choose not to read it, skip it and scroll down to the other entries. but i strongly encourage you to read it and you will know why i choose to follow Christ. Esp my immediate family members. i hope you will understand me more after reaading this entry. :)

i suddenly have this song ringing in my head. but i really got no idea how to sing it nor do i have the lyrics for the whole song. i only remeber it being like this: "God is good all the time...." haha. well.. like i said, i cannot remember the lyrics.

well.. i must admit that God is really good. and now that i look back, i think there is really a reason why i failed to make good grades during the A levels despite me having worked hard for it. now the reason(s):
(i) if i have grades good enough to qualify for econs in NUS, i wouldn't have wanted to choose NIE which means that i wouldn't be able to remain debt free for at least the next 10 years of my life( 4 yrs education and 6 years to repay the bank for my education loans-like er jie now).
(ii) also, i wouldn't be able to help lighten mum's load! i am really glad that i am able to lessen her burden.
(iii) next, after thinking through the whole night yesterday(ya, i couldn't get to sleep. i toss and turn and eventually, i slept at 5 AM. which explains why i didn't go to work today. ;p), perhaps teaching and going straight to NIE is my calling. why i say so? cause i suppose God wanted me to encourage my students who may not be doing well to never give up cause i was such a student in school. i mean, it would be more real if i can share my real life experience right?? haha. yeah. i only realise this as i was smsing shu yun yesterday mid night. haha. (and now, i remembered another song!) "God will make a way, where there seems to be no way, He works in ways we cannot see, He will make a way for me!!" Amen! how true!! ha ha. as to why going straight to NIE? it is because God sees and He understands my family financial situation. He knows that if He allowed me to do my degree other than in NIE(which menas i got to pay everything) my mother would, most probably, not be able to afford my education and that i most prob would have to be like er jie now in 4 yrs time. so yeah. God is good.
(iv) i will be able to depend largely on myself since i will get paid during my first 2 years. this is a training for me to really learn to be financially independent. hee..

enough of myself. about darling.
another thing to thank God for is that darling passed his ippt!! haha. i told him that he must really thank god. cause God is the one who protected him from having a injured ankle. i tell you guys why. darling injured his ankle a few weeks ago. and everytime he do his standing board jump, his ankle will hurt. because of this ankle thingy, he got to postpone his IPPT to today which is the last chance. if he fail this time, he would most prob have to recourse. so is a situation where he wother make it or break it. and so we were both rather worried. we prayed real hard(ok. i dun know if he did. i assume he did cause i did pray real hard for him). and God really is a great God! today, darling did his ippt. his first attempt at the standing board jump, he cleared it.(usually, he will have to use up all the attempts before he will clear it) and so he didn't have to try a second time. then he went to the next station. his shuttle run. during his shuttle run, his leg was alright. but after he did his shuttle run, his ankle began to hurt. see. dun you guys think God is protecting him? his ankle only ache after he had completed all the stations which requires him to use his legs.. (2.4km run, standing board jump and shuttle run.) and his ankle only hurt when he is left with the last station--pull up. and so i declare that God is a wonderful God!

lastly, thanks to laureen, chungie, jiemin and darling. they are the ones who kept reminding me to trust and believe in God. i admit there are times where i told you guys that i find it hard to rely on God. but thank God taht you guys always encourage me to continue to believe and trust in God. and now i believe in oe thing: things always happen for a reason. a good testimony would be my a levels result. i believe God gave me a B3 for my GP so that i can be exempted from the EPT. he gave me a result that is too bad for other courses but just nice for the NIE course. so yeah. he is good.

indeed. not doing that well in A levels by getting C C D and B3 could be a blessing in disguise. :)

- any 1 of the many many reflexes game i play in settlers! they are so fun!
- watch movies with darling FOC!!
- new clothes and shoes!
- a new leather watch!!
- lasik operation! to get rid of having to wear specs/contacts!
- a small sling bag for gai gai and a bag big enough for school
- a shopping spree in HK or Thailand!!
- a pair of birks?
