Just another story

i got a story to share with all of u. at the end of my story, i will tell u guys wat is the moral of the story.

i went to collect my hist assignment from my lecturer today. went into his room, sat down then he started going through the mistakes i made in my assignment. after about 10 minutes of discussion, he finally reached the last page of my assignment. *thank god! cause that is where my grade will be! and i, frankly, am only concern about my grade esp after all the minor(or so he says) mistakes committed.* he flipped it then folded it halfway to prevent me from seeing my grade, but i managed to see that he had given me an A! was very happy in my heart and was silently thanking god! then, he asked "what grade do u think u deserved?" and as much as i wanted to say A, i thought i should be humble (besides, after all the mistakes he pointed out, i cant really say my assignment was well done right?), and so, i replied, "erm. i hope to be able to get at least a B+?" then my lecturer smiled a little and answered "you sure am not ambitious huh?!" while writting something. from the movement of his hand, it's pretty obvious he was writing a dash(-) and then he said.. "well, i gave u an A-" *at this point of time, my heart sank!* then he continued saying "you got to have more confidence in yourself Elsa. U have been an excellent student. so why do u think u wont do well? why are you so worried about ur grades? well, with this grade, ur 30% is secured. u are entering the exam hall with fairly good ground. (or something to that idea la. wasnt paying much attention le la. cause am quite sad le la) work a little harder and i am sure u can push ur A- to A or A+." i replied "ok, thanks." and i left the room, "tearing" in my heart. hahaha.

so people, moral of the story is when it is time to be proud, be proud. being humble will only backfire on u. haha. >.<

p/s: i am very sure i didnt see the wrong grade. he really had intended to give me an A, but thanks to my stupid mouth, i got an A- instead. especially after the movement of his hands, i am very very sure he added the minus sign right in front of my eyes!! :(

- portable harddisk that is PORTABLE with as much memory as possible
- that citadel and saboteur game that i am addicted to!!
- any 1 of the many many reflexes game i play in settlers! they are so fun!
- watch movies with darling FOC!!
- new clothes and shoes!
- a new leather watch!!
- lasik operation! to get rid of having to wear specs/contacts!
- a small sling bag for gai gai and a bag big enough for school
- a shopping spree in HK or Thailand!!
- a pair of birks?
