Sometimes I wish I could learn to love and care more...

Just another story

as year 2007 draws to a close, i shall do a mini reflection cum look back on the yr.

2007-
it's the year where where my peers and i turn 21;
it's the year where darling and i are more "liberated". we get to go overseas together!!
it's the year where i attended the most birthday parties;
it's the year where i travel overseas the most number of times.
it's the year where i feel somewhat closer to my relatives from my daddy's side. (i feel they are putting in more effort to organize get-togethers)

and the best thing that happened to me this year would be that
it is also the year where i officially earned the license to chauffeur myself! :D

now, the somewhat unhappy things that happened to me this yr:
2007-
it's the year where i put on 5 kg after losing 20.
it's the year where i had the least number of times where my entire family sat down for dinner together.
it's the year where i realise how much i miss PLS when she's not around though we always quarrel when she is in SG.
it's the year where i got sucky timetable with lessons ending at 830pm!
it's the year where cindy and i got into some trouble with a lecturer! (that was so silly!!)
it's the year where my gpa fell for the first time! :(
it's the year where i begin to realise how much my peers from sec school and i have drifted as we find ourselves feeling awkward with silences between us as we meet each other during birthday parties!! :(

with all that above, has yr 2007 been a good yr for me?

well, i would say that it has, generally, been a good yr for me.

it's another 8 more hours or so before year 2008 kicks in. i wish and i pray that year 2008 will be a year that is smooth sailing for mummy, daddy, PBS, Chubby, PLS, darling and myself.

for mummy: may she continue to stay healthy and continue to strike more 4ds and Totos! may she also continue to win more money from mjs!

for daddy: may he keep up to his promise of exercising and may he continue to be in the pink of health! may 2008 be a year where he will feel happier by winning more money from 4ds and totos.

for PBS: it's a year where she will face new challenges as she re-enters the school gate after so long! hopefully she will be able to do well in her undergrad studies!

for Chubby: i pray that she will get her flat and her new job soon! job hunting's never easy. hang in there chubby! ur job offer's on the way! meanwhile, TRY to stay happy in ur current job!

for PLS: yr 2008 will be the year she graduates from poly and it will also (most prob; unless she decided to go on to undergrad studies, which i hope so!) be the year she enters the workforce. i pray that she will be able to get a job that's suitable for her and to her liking. pray that she will have a good time at work.

for darling: may yr 2008 be another yr where he will continue to stay healthy and continue to achieve great results!

lastly, for myself!! i pray that year 2008 will be a year where i will be able to:
(1) stay healthy;
(2) push my GPA up to above 4
(3) lose that 5 kg gained and maintain my weight!
(4) kick the bad habit of being late for appointments!
(5) spend my money more wisely!
(6) go for more overseas trip!! :D

tsk tsk. greedy me! hahaha.

- mum never to have to worry over financial issues!

- strong friendship with friends
- lose weight
- catch up with friends!esp my sec/jc mates!

- that ~~citadel~~ and saboteur game that i am addicted to!!
- any 1 of the many many reflexes game i play in settlers! they are so fun!
- watch movies with darling FOC!!
- new clothes and shoes!
- ~~a new leather watch!!~~
- ~~lasik operation! to get rid of having to wear specs/contacts!~~
- ~~a small sling bag for gai gai and a bag big enough for school~~
- a shopping spree in HK or Thailand!!
- a pair of birks?
