Just another story

aiyo!! it has been a long time since i last blogged, to the extent where i had forgotten the login password for my account sia!! must really blog more often next time man! :s

to save me the trouble of repeating my story over and over again, i shall also post up the reason for my msn nick which goes something like "i have never seen such a irresponsible person before! call yourself a trainee teacher! oh my gawd!!" a few days back. here goes:

i have got this person, lets call him John, whom i regarded as one of my good friends. he told me to help him get a job at the tuition centre i am currently teaching. so being the good Samaritan that i am, i spoke to my boss about his intention to teach primary maths and science. and it so happened that the centre need more primary maths and science teachers. and so, my boss asked me to inform john to call her. and so i did. then, after some time, i was informed by my boss that she has already spoken to john and has already scheduled a class for john.

however, prior to John starting teaching his own class, he was called to do relief on a particular sunday morning from 11-1pm and sally, another close friend of mine was supposed to do a relief class before him from 9-11am. and this was the first part of what got me so pissed with him.

--> knowing that john's quite forgetful and concerned that he might forget the appointment, i called him at about 10plus the night before he was supposed to go for the tuition to remind him, he confirmed with me that he would be there. then, that saturday, i went on a crazy movie marathon from 2pm till sunday morning 7am! and so, when i finally got to sleep at about 730am, i was already darn tired. however, at 910am, my phone rang. it was my boss. she asked me why sally wasnt there yet. at first i thought it wasnt anything serious since sally has the habit of being late. nonetheless, i called sally with the intention of asking if she was going to reach soon la. sally's phone was off! i was shocked cause i dont remember the sally i know to off her phone when she sleeps! haha. so i smsed her and ask if she was ok. then, at 920 plus, she smsed me and ask if i was awake. i called her and she told me she overslept! hahaha. i told her to rush down to the tuition centre because my boss has already been bombing my phone since 910. and when sally finally arrived at 940 plus, i thought everything was back to normal and i returned to my beauty sleep. (however, deep down in my heart, something was warning me that john's relief will cock up too.) true enough, at 11:20, my boss called me and told me that john is not there for his tuition yet! i called john, the phone rang till it auto cut off a few times (like 5-6 times with 2-3 mins interval between each try). i smsed him asking him if he was ok. i got no replies. and so, i had to ask sally to return to the centre to cover the lesson on john's behalf. by then, my boss was already damn pissed off and she scolded me left right upside down! :( [imagine how i felt ok. i was an innocent party, trying to help u find relief teachers. then when things cock up, u disturb my sleep and u scolded me for something that aint my fault and was not within my control!!] finally, john returned my call at about 6pm! and when i ask him what happened, he told me he had to go pray to his grandfather just now (which means in the morning)! i mean, pls dun tell me u only know u are going to pray to ur grandfather on that morning itself. even if u really got to know it on that morning itself, does it take u like 1000000 seconds to compose an sms or to make a call to inform either me or my boss that u cant make it?! he did none of those. i was utterly disgusted by his lack of responsibility. and i decided to not talk to him about it anymore.

then, just last saturday, his own class was suppose to start from 130-330. however, on friday night (or rather, saturday morning) at 1 am, i received an sms from my boss asking me to help find a relief for john as he last min cannot make it for his class. well, at least he smsed but at 1am. but anyhow, i asked my boss for the reason why he cannot make it. my boss replied that "he said he need to go back to sch for a lab seminar and the timing was brought forward from 4 to 330". this explanation got me to think that he was irresponsible in three areas:

first- my tuition centre is located in woodlands and his class is from 130-330. can any smart ass out there tell me how is it possible for one to get from woodlands to nie within half hour assuming that he takes the train and the bus on a sat given the low frequency of bus 199?? [my assumption that he wont be taking a cab would be because, for me, if i know that i would have to take cab if i go for the tuition, i would have informed mrs chan to start the class next week when she ask me if i can start this week! cause my seminar is just a once off affair what! so why would i want to start this week and spend more money on taking cab to rush back to school? makes sense? but then again- this is purely my assumption. i may be wrong. perhaps he is not as niao as i am! :P] therefore, i think he was lying.

secondly, assuming that he really had to return to sch for a lab seminar- now tell me, which lecturer inform students of a class at 1am? why did she only inform us at 1am? and got my boss and i into a situation where we were sending out sms to help look for a relief teacher in such wee hours!!

thirdly, john has a history of pang sehing people without informing. and yours truly here has encountered it like say 3 times (prior to this incident). once for my birthday party where he didnt turn up and didnt inform, a second time during yan ling's birthday party where he told me to meet him there but he didnt turn up and again, no sms to inform us to go ahead with cake cutting without him and the most recent incident which i blogged about above. apart from flying my aeroplane, he has the habit of overcommiting during project meetings and u will end up having to rush him for his part of the work. so yea, all these accumulated and i finally exploded this time round! >.<

i dun know what will john's reaction be if he chanced upon my blog. i dun think he reads my blog now. but john- i am just being very frank and honest here in my blog. if u feel offended, pls put yourself in my shoes and think if such things were to happen to you, will you be pissed too?

ok, enough rantings on my part. it's getting late and i shall head off to la-la land! :D

- any 1 of the many many reflexes game i play in settlers! they are so fun!
- watch movies with darling FOC!!
- new clothes and shoes!
- a new leather watch!!
- lasik operation! to get rid of having to wear specs/contacts!
- a small sling bag for gai gai and a bag big enough for school
- a shopping spree in HK or Thailand!!
- a pair of birks?
